The FLERA Alpinism commission currently plans two courses for 2025:

• 6-9 February Ice climbing course in Averstal, Switzerland.
• 3-6 July Mountaineering course in Chamonix, France.

The costs for each trip will be around 450-550€.

These trips will focus on beginners.

Pre-inscriptions are now open. Please send an email to alpinisme@flera.lu if you would like to pre-register for one of these, or both, courses. Please include the following information:

• your first name and surname
• age
• member in which Luxembourgish climbing club
• climbing experience (approximate grade indoor/outdoor, outdoor experience?)

Minimum requirements:

• safe belaying in lead climbing
• some outdoor climbing experience an advantage
• for the mountaineering course, expect longer days with around 1200hm elevation differences, so a good basic fitness (such as being able to run 10km in 1h) is important.
